Hearts a Bustin'

Euonymus americanus, an unassuming green stemmed native plant for shade, wows in early fall. Warning, rabbits adore the young tender shoots.

  1. These plants were one of the 'surprises' in my yard when I moved into my great grandmother's house. I transplanted some over the past few weekends (the birds have planted them in the most interesting places), and I think it's going to be neat to have them en mass next year.

  2. Oh I bet that is lovely--I like their little pale flowers, too!
