Garden on rainy August day
lima beans
all three beds, from both directions

The basil needs picking again--I already have two batches of pesto in the freezer.
Images of August
As summer wanes; okra takes off
The okra has been the success of the season, as the peppers and even the tomatoes balked at the heat. I'll plant even more next year--it is so much prettier than even what you can get at the farmers' market, and look at these flowers!
Here it is in the "good bed"--the one that produced lots of eggplant and lima beans too, with the one pepper plant that actually produced peppers.
